Asia-Art-Link was initiated by artists, Trinh Tuan from Vietnam and
Ng Bee from Malaysia as a platform for artists from the Asian Pacific region to interact and develop common ground for dialogue and development of contemporary art from the region. The occasion also allows for artists to interact with their contemporaries from other nations and explore opportunities to broaden their individual visions and importantly to inform the international art scene of the rich cultural values of the region.

This year’s event celebrates 32 artworks by 32 artists from 6 Pacific Rim nations - Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Laos, Malaysia and Vietnam and by special invitation from France. The different genres of art such as acrylic painting, lacquer painting, Chinese ink, water color, silk painting, photography and sculpture will display the rich and diverse cultural traditions of the region to the people of Vietnam.

With the expanding interest and support from the public and art communities , Asia-Art-Link is set to become one of the region’s most interesting art events , which will give rise to further initiatives for cooperation and friendship amongst the countries participating.
